Purolator’s truck donation will help Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society bring fresh produce to those with limited access

Vancouver, B.C., Oct. 14, 2014 – Purolator, Canada’s leading freight, parcel and logistics solution provider, today donated a refurbished curbside delivery vehicle to theGreater Vancouver Food Bank Society – a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people to nourish themselves by providing access to healthy food, education and training. This donation will help the food bank increase the capacity of its Curbside Fresh Market, which provides affordable local produce to areas of Vancouver with limited access to fresh food.

This initiative is an extension of the Purolator Tackle Hunger® program, which, since its inception in 2003, has helped deliver the equivalent of more than 175,000 pounds of food to local food banks in B.C.
