DHL scoops ‘Third Party Logistics Company of the Year’ at Automotive Supply Chain Global Awards 2014

Award recognizes the efficiency gains and change management at the off-site sequencing operation at TyreFort, Birmingham/UK entailing:

  • Sequenced parts variants increasing from 1,500 to 3,787
  • 340,000 parts sequenced each week with 99.99% accuracy
  • 311% increase in number of pallets stored from 4,500 to 14,000

DHL is honoured to win the ‘Third Party Logistics Company of the Year’ award at the prestigious Automotive Supply Chain Global Awards 2014, which highlight excellence in the automotive supply chain industry. The award not only recognizes DHL’s contribution in sequencing parts for ten Jaguar Land Rover models across two Midlands manufacturing plants and multiple assembly lines in the UK, but in particular its smooth Change Management Programme of its offsite Sequencing Centre in TyreFort, Birmingham to support Jaguar Land Rover’s ambitious growth plans.
