City-Link Express History

Found in 1979 by Founder and Dato David Tan, Dato David Tan has made City-Link Express the success it is today. Now City-Link is able to offer an extensive range of products and services to cater to both the domestic and international markets. Since our debut, City-Link Express has expanded beyond the Malaysian shores and into Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, etc.

1982
First courier company to use IBM S/36

1984
Moved to Taman Mayang, Selangor as part of expansion plans

1998
YB Datuk Leo Moggie, former Minister of Energy, Telecommunications & Post officiated
Wisma City-Link located in Hicom Glenmarie Industrial area

2001
Gemsoft v1 was launched. Developed in-house to improve on operations performance

2005
Gemsoft v2 launched

2008
Implemented auto weigh & billing system to enhance operation and accounting efficiency

2009
Adopted green ICT by implementing Virtualization Technology at data centre

2010
Implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS)

2011
Upgraded to a 80,000 sq ft warehouse to provide more convenience to customers
