About DPD

It has more than 800 depots in more than 40 countries and is one of Europe’s leading business-to-business parcel delivery services.

The company was founded in 1977 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. In its first year of operation, over 1.4 million parcels were shipped. By 1980, this figure had risen to 7 million. Today, 2 million parcels are shipped every day. DPD is majority-owned by GeoPost, a subsidiary of La Poste, France’s postal service.

When you have shipped through DPD, you will receive a parcel label number or a reference number which we also called DPD tracking number. Each tracking number has 14 digits, sometimes end with one alphabet(eg: 01378940694073, 01378940694073Q).
